Food took over 45 min to arrive. Had to send back because it was cold. Fries were soggy and cold. Hope they get things running more smooth. Lots of potential...maybe

My wife and I were super excited to have a restaurant so close to our house. Wow, we now have a goto place.... Unfortunately we were both very disappointed. It was a Monday evening about 6:30 and there was about a thirty minute wait. We got a page in roughly 25 minutes. We were sitting at the bar as we got paged. I asked the bartender if she could transfer our tab to the dining room. She said no problem. We were seated near the huge glass windows. These windows have very bad insulation and there is a very cool breeze. Keep your coat on if you Are seated there. Our server arrived and took our order. She did a great job and this is the reason for 2 stars and not 1. My wife ordered the blue cheese Lucy with Buffalo sauce. I ordered the beer cheese Lucy. Both were very poor attempts at a juicy Lucy. The filling was non existent in both. Flavor was bland and my wife said that there was hardly any blue cheese on hers. Overall the food was mediocre at best. As we waited for our food we both took in the environment and both thought that the dining area wasn't thought out very well. The bar area very beautiful and set up very nice. As it should be for a new establishment. The dining area however looked cheap and just thrown together at the last minute. The table and chairs were very cheap looking and not very sturdy. I realize that this place is new. But there needs to be some changes. We will try it again in a few months. One more note on the draught beer selection. Please get a wider variety of types of beer. Yes, there is a lot of local craft beers. However, the majority are super hopped IPAs. Not all patrons like these styles. I wish this place all the luck in the world and I hope that they use my comment and the others as a tool to get better.

I went to Crooked Pint on a (blind) first date. I'd say it's a good place to meet someone for the first time. The environment isn't too loud so you can chat with people easily. They have a great long beer list! I tried the Hinterland Luna Coffee Stout. It was a heavier beer but easy to drink. You can really taste the coffee notes. We also got the Brussels sprouts and chocolate chip cookie. The sprouts were delicious, although the menu said there would be jalapeños and there were none. I was confused, but it was so good that I didn't care. Lastly, I'm a lover of decor. This place had the best distressed wood floors. A big atrium, and a patio.

We were excited to try a new place and stopped in on St. Patrick's day. No surprise it was busy and service was slow, but food was a disappointment. Tried the sauteed brussell sprouts and they were almost gray in color and looked like they were fresh out of the micro. The celery served with the wings was dirty...no quality control. We weren't impressed but decided to give it another try. Visited yesterday during happy hour and sat in the bar this time, again service was horribly slow. We sat 2 feet from the bar and it took over 15 minutes to get a glass of wine. Additionally, the fancy winekeeper they use makes the white wine seem barely cold. It was disappointing that none of their decent white wines are part of happy hour....if you like wine, take a look at Vivo's HH!! And, the food...I was shocked that a brew pub can't even pull off decent french fries. They were literally limp and broke in half when you picked them up. My husband had the turkey wrap and it looked as though they fried the tortilla, it was damp with something like oil. I had the tacos, and have never heard of anyone putting ranch dressing on tacos! Glad I ordered it on the side. Yuk! The avocado was brown and most of the taco was filled with cabbage. A man sitting across from us obviously had an issue with the service too, as we saw him complain to the manager as he left. Bad service, bad food....we won't be coming back. It's a shame because we live so close. Now that I heard they also own Pizza Ranch, it all makes sense. That is the most disgusting, filthy restaurant I have EVER visited.

Despite the many negative reviews, my wife and I decided to give it a shot on Friday night. It was crowded and busy which isn't surprising. A pretty decent beer selection and no they aren't all ipa's. It was nice to find an establishment south of the river whose idea of craft beer wasn't Stella, Guinness, and Blue Moon. Service was friendly. The wait was no longer than advertised. It was noisy, but it is a bar so not shocking. My burger was tasty and the tots are different and very good. I would say 3.5 stars but rounded it up because because of all the lame complaints previously posted by the wine sipping Sunday brunch crowd.

So yeah... they supposedly were going to send us a gift card to come back & try them again which we never received and it's been 2 months. Businesses that lack follow through are businesses that we will never return to.

We loved our experiences at the Crooked Pint in Minneapolis so we were excited to find a location closer to us in Apple Valley. We had attempted to go on a number of occasions but the wait was far too long. Finally, on Mother's Day we tried again and were actually seated right away. We sat down and ordered drinks, which is when the waitress decides to tell us that there is a 40 (yes, 40) minute wait on food. Well that would've been nice to know up front! We ordered anyway in hopes of our food arriving sooner, but shortly after, it was clear we shouldn't have bothered. The waitress did not return for the entire time we waited for our food, even after I said "I'll START with a water" when ordering our drinks. Instead, I had to order my drink with the manager who was walking around. We also decided to try an appetizer (fried pickles) but couldn't place the order until our food came out because the waitress was MIA. My husband had the Sconsie burger (he gets it every time) and I got the Asian tacos. The burger was tiny, a weird grey in color, and had maybe 3 cheese curds on it. His "upgrade" for $2 got him a total of SIX tator tots. Really?! My tacos were a letdown as well as the tortillas were extremely soggy and cold. I had ordered a SIDE of onion rings and we later learned they charged us for a whole appetizer ($9)! The pickles were soggy and cold as well. We really hoped to have this as our go-to place in Apple Valley, but it is likely that we won't return based on both the food quality and service.

Service will be a downfall for any new restaurant. Went for dinner on 3/19. Ordered one of the Lucys and the walleye dinner. After quite a wait, received the burger and a walleye sandwich (vs dinner.). Not a big deal except the dinner is beer battered and the sandwich is cornmeal. (No idea why they would have this complexity on their menu.). The waitress took it back and promised to expedite the fix. Proceeded to eat and finish the burger then wait about 10 more minutes for the fish dinner to come out. It's restaurant bad service 101 to have one diner not only get their food but also finish it (and still have time for dessert) before the other diner in the party. A manager did stop at the table to inquire how things were. Despite her seeing and us mentioning the delay (while busing the burger dish as the fish dinner was delivered) the check arrived with BOTH meals on it! We mentioned our disappointment and the manager did end up comping the fish dinner. From a quality of food standpoint, the Lucy was supposed to be stuffed with BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheddar. It was actually topped with it. The chili was good. The walleye dinner (once we got it) was salty but edible. A small portion at $15 though. Great beer selection. Bar service while waiting for the table was good. Fair happy hour prices. Seating on covered patio area was quite cold. We and others had to wear coats. All in all, we MIGHT give the place another try after they've been open awhile. The retractable roof over the patio looks promising for a potential summer happy hour.

Really nice decor in the restaurant that offers a casual setting and is equally inviting. Service here is horrible unless you sit at the bar. The service is extremely slow. Either the servers have too much to handle, or they're just terrible. Impressive tap and pretty good food along with having some of the greatest tater tots I've ever had.

Service and food have gotten better since they initially opened. The burger specials at lunch are pretty decent. The loaded tots can be hit or miss. We don't really go for the bar aspect. It's just the only "sit down" kind of place in south Apple Valley/North Farmington that has anything worth eating.

Saturday night - busy but not overcrowded. The staff was very polite and helped us immediately. The beverages were served quickly and the food was outstanding. I orders the tator tot hotdish and was much more than I expected. So happy with this place. TV' from every angle for the games. The pricing is a little higher but worth the fresh and very original food.

Crooked Pint offers the south suburbs one of our best - and only - options for a fun sports bar/casual dining vibe for people in their late-20's and up. Most of the other options down here are either dumpy, sketchy, or overdone. The menu options are really good - I'm a fan of their Mill City flatbread, poutine, and a couple of their burgers. The bar and restaurant itself are usually clean and the staff is always attentive and friendly.

Meh. I had a coupon for bogo Lucy's so I took my kiddo. They sat us right by the door and it was FREEZING. Not just where we were, but the bathroom was ice cold and even the hand dryer was shooting out cold air. I got the peanut butter bacon Lucy and he got the pepperoni Lucy. My burger was just ok, which is hard to believe because it has PEANUT BUTTER and BACON. But it wasn't great, not much flavor. My brussels sprouts were awful, no flavor and some were cold inside. My kiddo ate his whole burger but when I asked he was unimpressed, said he preferred regular burgers and gave it a 3 out of 5. The service was slow. When I asked for sriracha (to make the brussels edible) she checked but they didn't have any. Fail. At least I had a coupon.

This place has an amazing selection of brews and wine! Hello they have a wine bar.. how can you not like it. The food is tasty. I love it because they take traditional food and give it a spin. It is expensive but worth it.

I love this place! Sure, it does have that chain feel to it (welcome to Apple Valley!) but they do have a diverse menu, quality fare, a fun atmosphere and a friendly and attentive staff. TIP: Get the tater tots! They are ridiculous, monster-sized potato bites fried to a perfect crisp with cheese and bacon, served up with house dressing. You get a healthy (ok, maybe not so healthy) serving so it's meant to be shared. Or you can put them in your side pocket for later and if anyone asks you for some you can tell them "Get your own tots!" I love Brussels sprouts and I typically order them wherever I go. They are pretty good here, but maybe a bit over the top greasy and salty, served with sautéed onions and bacon. I prefer my sprouts roasted over sautéed. I still order them. They have a good mix of salads. On my last visit, I ordered the rainbow chopped salad. It has big chunks of apple, pear, and walnuts with a light vinaigrette. It is huge and I didn't finish it. My friends split a lobster grilled cheese sandwich. I tried a bite and it was amazing - very rich, with lobster, cheese, and avocado. The bread has a wonderful cheesy, buttery crust to it. Highly recommended. They also have a unique selection of burgers (peanut butter and bacon!) and pot pies (lobster pot pie) that I will surely sample in the future. I've only been here for lunch, but they do have a lot of beers so I imagine it would be a great place for happy hour - a solid Valley Tap alternative! Last but not least, the staff is very friendly. Our waiter, Jayson, is a student from Oregon. He was efficient and attentive. I'll be back...

This was my third visit and each time service gets worse and worse. Long wait times just to be greeted and have drink orders taken. Servers have never been personable or friendly. Our server tonight couldn't even recommend a soup! The food has been alright but was disappointing tonight. Our fries were soggy and the walleye sand which came out without the bistro sauce and was extremely dry, of course it was then cold by the time our server checked back in and was able to bring a side of sauce to put in the sandwich. We then waited another 5-10 minutes after clearing the plates to bring the check. We won't return anytime soon.

I ate at the Crooked Pint Ale House for lunch with a group of about 6 people. I was pretty hungry and had heard great things about this gigantic tater tot appetizer...so we ordered it. It was pretty good! The tater tots really are enormous. And despite the size, they are still cooked to a perfect crisp, not too hard and not too soggy. Also, these aren't your normal tater tots; they are filled with cheese and bacon. Does it get any better than that? I definitely recommend ordering them...if you aren't on a strict diet. I ordered a western BBQ style burger for my meal. I was juicy and delicious. The serving sizes are very generous...so generous that I couldn't finish my meal. Our group sat at a long table that was located in an annex of the restaurant in a green-house style room. This was nice because we were able sit in natural daylight but there was a leak in the glass above our table. So water dripped down on us which our table wasn't happy with. The service was prompt and friendly. If you're in Apple Valley for lunch, I'd definitely recommend this place.

I am updating my review. I have received excellent customer service feedback and this means more to me than one bad cup of soup moment. I will be back for more of the Crooked Pint. Thankyou!

They really put the "crook" in "crooked." The only reason to go is the homemade tots-they are divine, but the interior is all hard surfaces; walls, floors, chairs and it echoes like Carlsbad Caverns. Always so loud and impossible to hear. Last night we tried it once again only because my friend had a gift card. It still had $21 on it when we left and he threw it in the trash on our way out, so as not to be tempted again. Our server Maria was fantastic, but on a Friday night she was alone in the dining room half of the place. Slow to get drinks and food. They have a late night happy hour special that includes $5 brown liquor. I ordered a Bulleit Rye on the rocks AND THEY CHARGED ME $1.50 FOR THE ICE! I took a picture of the receipt; it's insane. Whiskey $5.00 On Rocks $1.50 I asked the server and she said she wondered about that too. She has been a server for 10 years and has never seen that before working at Crook Pint. The location is great. Hopefully someone will open a decent restaurant there someday.

Crooked Pint F(Ale) House Mine and my wife's latest adventure to find delicious food brought us back to a place we already tested, but additional items on the menu caught our attention the first time around. With that, we had to return for a second go round to see if those items that caught our attention were worthy of our return. Sadly, they were not! With two locations and two different owners as well, the Crooked Pint F(Ale) House had some promising hopes after reading the menu and seeing all kinds of delicious sounding dishes that my wife and I wanted to try. Our first go round, we ordered their Fish Taco's, their Beer Cheese Juicy and an order of their French Onion Soup. We all know what I settled on, so we'll tackle the 2 meals that my wife settled on first. French onion soup, it's a simple soup to make; broth of your choice (tends to be beef or vegetable), some garlic, S&P, a little thyme and/or bay leaves, onions, maybe a little wine, some bread crumbs or day old bread toasted, some butter and a little flour. Lastly and the most important ingredient if you ask my wife or I - MELTED CHEESE ATOP THE BOWL! It's oh so delicious and my hand usually gets slapped when I try to steal the cheese off my wife's bowl. If this is what you want, you won't get it at the F(Ale) House. Why would you not include cheese with your French Onion Soup? I always push for people to make their foods stand out, but you should never remove something so important to a meal. As our meals arrived to the table, our eyes had that "that looks tasty" look, but it was short lived. My wife started to take bites of her fish taco, prepared with deep-fried cod, cabbage slaw, pico, avocado, cholula mayo, and fresh cilantro. She quickly realized she wasn't happy with her decision and finished just one taco. Not the best tasting fish and really not much for flavor either. I started to dig into my juicy and was really looking forward to tasting this thing. Prepared by stuffing it with creamy beer cheese and served on a pretzel bun, topped with bacon, bistro sauce, haystack onions, and a slice of pepper jack. Sounds good, right? It had potential, but like their French Onion Soup, ZERO CHEESE to be found inside. Essentially, I had a large bacon & pepper jack cheese burger with an air pocket in the middle. Check out the Juicy Lucy Challenge to see how they did against the competition. Hint, not so good! So, not the best first experience, but hey, we should give them another shot. Round two! My wife ordered their Buffalo Chicken Wrap which is prepared with melted bleu cheese, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and served with celery. No frills, no holy cows and nothing to brag about. "Hey honey, how is it?" She replied with a shoulder shrug and a "Meh, it is what it is!" So far, so good... I went with their Lobster Grilled Cheese. The name alone will catch anyone's attention if you like seafood and grilled cheeses. I myself love seafood and thoroughly enjoy the grilled cheeses my wife and I create at home. There's just something about my wife's grilled cheeses that I love and we usually use a couple different cheeses and sometimes will throw down a little parmesan to crust the outside. The F(Ale) Houses rendition included lobster, monterey jack, parmesan, garlic pepper sauce, avocado, and tomato on sourdough. What could go wrong? It looked delicious, but not the best tasting at all. The lobster was far too fishy tasting and I mean the bad fishy taste, like bad fishy tasting sushi. I'm not sure where the cheese was on the inside and thankfully, the garlic pepper sauce I could sort of taste was actually pretty good. Here's my 2 cents for the Crooked Pint... Preparing lobster isn't a mystery, so tackle that first and foremost and put some cheese in the darn thing. It IS a grilled cheese by the way. Now that I think about it, I think the F(Ale) House has something against cheese! :) It was lacking in every meal they prepared that was SUPPOSE to have cheese included. If you're fine with mediocre food, feel free to stop by and take a stab at their cuisine. They have plenty of brews on top to satisfy anyone and they even have wine on tap. As I mentioned earlier, ownership is different for the two locations. Maybe (that's a big maybe) the Minneapolis location has a better culinary team. I have my doubts and will probably refrain from visiting the other location, but then again, I have a certificate for there to use up which by the way is not accepted by the owner in Apple Valley. Never really understood why the same company would have different "rules", but oh well. Sorry F(Ale) House, but there are better spots to hit for food and we'll stick to those.

This is my 2nd time here. Ive had the homemade tots and cream cheese pickle ap. Today I had my son with me for Free grilled cheese and Fries for his Birthday meal. The sad thing is you have literally 10 days to use email coupon. Son wanted. Plain Juicy Lucy. No dice. Just weird concoctions such as: peanut butter and jelly Lucy, ham and egg Lucy and beer cheese Lucy. We asked If mustard and onion stacks be omitted and were told no its already premade. Ok . He had the grilled cheese. It was real big on huge Bread but half assed melted. Come on I make a better one at home. Tried their poutine. Its Fries with beef gravy and cheese curds. Good News its better than Burger Jones's versión but not as good as MN state fair versión. I only ate 3 pickle aps as I was stuffed. The Server who brought us the food didnt bring extra plates. Had to ask for them. Common Sense..The other Server brought us 2 doggie boxes and we had to put in boxes ourselves. Must be policy. Enjoyed a $3 tap Grain Belt at Happy Hour. Floor could be swept. Will probably return when I get another email coupon.

Well, we gave this place one more try. All Done ! We had a couple appetizers, the flat bread and the Brussels sprouts. The flatbread crust must be made with leftover Pizza Ranch dough scraps. Dry, tasteless and boring. Many restaurants have Brussels sprouts on the menu these days and we both love them. Not these ! They say they add Serrano peppers to it. I think it is just some cheap hot sauce, and they put too much on ! I guess yuppies will eat anything if you put hot sauce on it ! We declined. The manager was a nice enough man and he offered to get us something else. OK, so we ordered the Pretzels with cheese sauce and the Tater Tots. Both were hardly edible. The house made tots were a dark brown color and saturated with grease like they had been deep fried several times. Because that is probably how they make them ! The pretzels ? Why would I expect anything else, other than some cheap, fake, cheese flavored sauce ? The only positive thing I can say is the beer selection is good and they seemed to keep the lines clean and the glasses clean from soap residue. The two beers I had both tasted excellent.

Not impressed after a 2nd try. Appetizer didn't come out until after the meal, and the brussel sprouts were very vinegary (they were much better the 1st time we were here). My Lucy was undercooked and the pretzel bun was hard. My husband's pot roast was cold. Service was friendly but VERY slow. We shared our dissatisfaction and the waitress said a manager would come over... And no immediate deduction came off our bill (I would have expected the appetizer to be removed, at the very least) when it was presented to us. Took over 10 minutes to get the manager to our table, and that was after multiple requests. Finally comped our entire bill and is sending us a gift certificate to try again. We'll see.

Just returned from a HUGELY disappointing first visit to the Crooked Pint Ale House in Apple Valley, MN. My wife ordered a pint of Lagunitas Pils. Instead, she received a 10-ounce pour that was clearly not a pils. I checked with the bartender, who said, "Oh, we ran out and Lagunitas gave us the 'Under Cover' so we served that." The ABV on Under Cover is about 10%. We had the waitress return it, and ordered up a lighter beer. For my meal, I ordered the "Shredded Beef Tacos." When my plate was served I took a look and asked my wife, "Do they have pot roast on the menu?" Indeed they do, and that's what I got: a few slices of unseasoned beef pot roast in flour tortillas, with a bit of avocado and a small amount of cheese. On the side were three tortilla chips with maybe a teaspoon of salsa (or, more accurately, diced tomatoes and onions). I can now say from experience that if you are thinking about melt-in-your-mouth, spicy shredded beef tacos, and you get unseasoned slices of beef pot roast in a tortilla, it kinda makes you nauseous. To top it off, when we asked for our bill, the waitress said she needed to check with the manager about the beer mix-up. She wandered off then came back with the bill. The manager graciously did not charge us for the unwanted beer, but (in my opinion) he should have stopped by the table or comped us a drink. It was a Saturday afternoon, not busy, and this place is newly opened. They need to build good will, and they need to learn how to cook. YIKES.

Pretty good and a menu different from most. Had brussel sprout appetizer and beer cheese pretzels to start. Both were pretty good though the Serrano peppers on the sprouts were a little strong. Lunch was a burger, chicken pot pie and pesto chicken salad. All good but pot pie was the best. Love the retractable roof. This is a nice local place and worth the visit.

Very clean, nice atmosphere, not loud and a great place to kick back and have a pint. Several very good beers on tap. Can't go wrong with an Alaskan Amber! Tater tots are out fo this world. Amazingly good. Everyone at our table loved what they got. I had the Beer Cheese Burger that comes on a pretzel bun. Very tasty. I would defintely come back. Why not 5 stars you ask if I have such a good review? To earn 5 from me you have to be over the top good. Crooked Pint is good, very good but in my eyes, not a 5 star. I reserve those for the "elite".

We have been here twice and no way am I going to go for a third strike! Waste of money and time..as well as another headache. First time we came here I was craving fish and chips, noticed they had a fish fry Friday deal and was SOLD! It was a beautiful sunny Friday and we chose to sit inside and try to avoid the sun...good luck! We placed our order, started with the tator tot appetizer and both ordered fish for our entree. I asked if they could fry my french fries a little longer as I like them crisp, waitress said no problem. While waiting for our food we noticed how incredibly BAD the acoustics are in this place! Sooooo loud!! You can't escape it! Someone could whisper on one side and it would come off as a scream in this place. Second, they faced their retractable patio directly west..awful planning! Sun was setting and our booth inside was an oven! Or appetizer came out and at that point I was starting to overheat. I'm pregnant and thought maybe sitting inside I would be safe..no such luck. Tator tots weren't that great, we didn't even finish half of them. By the time our fish came out I was getting sick from the sun and heat. Tried to eat some of the fish, it wasn't very good at all. Husband looked really concerned with me as I was turning red and sweating. I had to go in the bathroom because I was getting sick from the heat and sun. Came back out and tried to eat again..fish didn't get better by any means sitting there. Fries were awful...all around epic fail on every level. Waitress didn't even ask if food was good or not. We had to rush her to get our check as I wasn't feeling well at all. Ended up in the ER with heat stroke. Second time, same noise issues. Sun was blinding even with sunglasses on. Staff is totally oblivious to customers as far as we could tell. Ordered a burger and it wasn't very good at all. Again, left our meals and paid our tab. I would think the waitress would question why our food was hardly touched both times, but apparently they don't care or they are used to it. Was really hoping for a good place close to home..we are more than happy to drive a little further for good food, atmosphere and staff.

Ordered the "7" oz sirloin and it was literally smaller than the palm of my hand. Manager offered to take some off the bill and never did. Was charged for a salad that I subbed for my sides and specifically asked if it would be extra, server said no, was charged full price for the puny steak plus the salad. Place is absolutely freezing inside in the winter. Had been there a few times before and was satisfied but based off this experience I won't be back.

The beer cheese pretzel app was an overpriced frozen super pretzel and it and the sauce is way too salty. I couldn't eat it at all. I also asked the waitress if I could try it with tortilla chips and even the chips were already so heavily seasoned it was gross. The waitress also didn't reduce or comp the app. Also after I politely asked for the chips, she ignored us the rest of the time! To top it off all I wanted to do was sit on the patio but there was a 45 min wait because they only have like 5 tables with some sort of lawn game that takes up all the space. The only good thing was the beer! I was disappointed to say the least.

Ok, I gave it a few months and came in with the kids to grab a quick lunch. I'm going to be succinct and straightforward here - if you go here wanting to hang out, grab a beer, & shoot the breeze with some friends - you've chosen correctly. If you get hungry, and pick something uncomplicated - you won't be disappointed. Other than that, you're inviting aggravation. Two areas they need to work on: SERVICE (slow, lackluster, spotty) and FOOD PREPARATION (bland, cold, uninspired). Take your pick. And feel free to scold me in how I should "give em' a chance" - blow it out your pipe hole, in the business world you get things RIGHT or you get on down the road - and that includes listening to customer feedback ..good, bad. And ugly. (*i notice there are NO customer comment cards on the tables).

We have gone here a few times as we live right down the road. On a positive note the wait staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is fun, the beer selection is great. So getting to the food. Pretzels are like eating a pretzel from the microwave that you make at home and the sauce is nasty. The brussel sprouts are the worst I've ever had just terrible. Spicy Stuffed Pickle Chips is mainly breading they are not awful but I was really disappointed. The tator tots are really good but that's about it with the apps I think the crooked pint really needs to work on the apps as most of them are not great. We have had burgers and the tacos and they are good. I really want this place to work out because its right up the road but if they don't fix what needs fixing I feel it will fail.

Ate at the Crooked Pint last Friday at about 6pm for the first time. Food was great, great selection of beer and nice atmosphere. I ordered a burger and was surprised that it was pretty decently sized. Only negative of the experience was how LOUD it was in there. The music was very loud and coupled with the large amount of people there made it almost unbearable. I'd like to visit again but the noise is unfortunately a deterrent.

We've been here a few times both for food and just drinks. The outdoor patio is small and kind of awkward being so close to the bags area. It gets the afternoon/evening sun and can be hot with the sun in your eyes. Their food is just alright. Good burger and tator tots, but everything else was pretty meh. The servers are nice and beer selection is good so we may be back.

I will not be returning to this establishment Wait staff are very pleasant and accommodating and I commend them for a job well done, but that's about where it ends. I had chicken tacos. Presentation was sloppy. Chips were soggy. Tortillas were stale. And I'm almost positive I came down with food poisoning as I was puking my brains out about 12 hours after consumption. My boyfriend had the All American: eggs, bacon, toast, hashbrowns. His dish literally looked like it had been sitting around for an hour and then re-heated and served. Eggs are not hard to cook. And his eggs were overcooked and inedible. Hashbrowns were rubbery and flavorless. I cannot believe whoever is managing back of house would allow this dish to leave the kitchen. We would have received a far superior product at Denny's. I am bummed about our experience. I had high hopes. A certain aesthetic is clearly trying to be achieved, but the execution isn't there. I simply refuse to throw down $30 for food that is an afterthought.

I was there yesterday for lunch around 12:45. It was not busy at all so we were offered a choice of seating which I thought was very nice and not always offered at many restaurants. We had the burger special which was excellent. The server was efficient and friendly but toward the end of our meal she informed us that her shift was ending and that she would like us to close out our tab because she had errands to run???? Granted we were taking our time but the restaurant had maybe 10 customers and the lunch rush was over. I left the tip on the table and we sat and chatted as the waitress kept walking by. I guess I feel that the length of my lunch should be determined by my schedule and not my servers. Other than that everything was great.

So, yea... another over priced, over salted and over fried food establishment in Minnesota. Yay. Just what the average 300lb. redneck pretending he is hip to cool beers loves. Too bad the beer selection was missing the staples that one would expect from an "ale house" and I'm nowhere near the necessary weight requirement to enjoy this type of food. If you love the typical over hopped beer selection that doesn't even include Hoegaarden or Guiness or Blue Moon or something that isn't a no name (but again over-hoped) IPA, you might find yourself thinking you are cool here. Maybe you will even check in on your oversized phone and post up your greasy tots on Facebook. I could see where some might like that. The place was small. We were told 30 minutes, it took an hour. It was 40 degrees out but so cold inside even I was wearing a jacket (and I keep our house at 68 year round). It was so loud I think I have permanent hearing damage....I don't know, I'll figure that out once I wash the grease out of my ears. I'M NOT YELLING AM I? I DON'T MEAN TOO IF I AM... I CAN'T TELL. Sad to have a new place pop up in our area only to be another of what we already have enough of already. I doubt this place will even draw people in the summer... unless you like a mini patio view of a cheap pizza buffet. I need to go shower and sit somewhere quiet for 24 hours. Won't go back anytime soon. There goes another $50 for happy hour pub food in the burbs. Good luck making it past a year at those prices. P.S. I should say something positive. They had a nice check-in waiting system that texts you when your table is ready and presents you with a web site so you can track the 50 people ahead of you on the list. More places should have this system.. places that deserve to have people on a wait list that is.

My boyfriend and I were excited to try this place out since we live so close and Brian has always said AV is missing a pub. Brian was pretty sad/surprised that they didn't have Guinness on tap. He tried a Rasputin which the waitress suggested and he thought was just okay. More of a coffee flavor (he doesn't like coffee). He ordered the Tater tot hotdish. What came was giant spicy tater tots in a soup of cheese with tiny chunks of random beef. Not your traditional hotdish at all and not in a good way. Very Spicy. I ordered a Crispen cider on tap. For dinner I ordered the Lobster Grilled cheese; just okay nice chunks of lobster but seemed to be missing some flavor. Maybe some type of a dipping sauce...... We were extremely surprised when we got the bill. $50 and it was happy hour! Truthfully their happy hour deals suck. their taps are pretty expensive and their deal is $1 off. Wooooh. and they have a deal on some cheap cans of beer. The happy hour food was only a handful of appetizers that sound meh...... Overall we were really looking forward to being able to ride out bikes here in the summers to enjoy a beer and were pretty disappointed. My boyfriend told me he wanted me to put these words in my review: " This place has downtown prices; Apple Valley is NOT downtown!"

Not sure what all the negativity is about but I just at here today (12/2) and it was absolutely delicious. Tater tots were out of this world and the burgers are to die for. Creative menu which can account for everyone who goes. The staff is great and friendly and they have a lot of drinks to choose from at reasonable prices. Been all over the USA as I work for an airline and this is one of my favorites.

Their seating system (aka the 21 year olds with the iPad) needs some work. Maybe if you don't seat 2 people at a 6 top you would have room for the large group. Way too loud in here!

Ok, was excited to check out a new bar centrally located for my friends. Plenty of tvs in the bar. Very small restaurant as a whole though it seems, could probably become a very long wait at times. The staff was nice. The beer selection is fantastic, love all the different Minnesota choices. The prices are not great though. Higher than id like to play for taps, the beers are smaller then Im used to. The menu has a ton of fun choices, we ordered the $10 nachos. There were like 9 chips on the plate. They were big chips but im used to a mound of nachos. They were very good though, just more like $4 worth. I will go back because of the location, and the selection though.

I'd been to the Crooked Pint downtown and was going out with friends near Apple Valley and we thought we'd try this one. We thought it was great food, service and beer selection. I had the Beer Cheese Lucy and my wife tried the fish tacos - both were superb. Our friends had the chicken pot pie and peanut butter and bacon lucy - they enjoyed those as well. The beer was phenomenal - a lot of local brews. I had the 612 and my buddy had the Surly Furious. We had a great time. Our friends live near this location and they are excited to go back. We really liked the bar area. Way to go Crooked Pint!

Disclaimer: it was opening week, so I was expecting slow service. I'll start with the good. Despite not drinking beer, they had a good beer menu, and a dining room filled with TV's. While our service was slow, not terribly so that one would get fed up. On the food side, the Tater tots were very good, but so greasy you would only want to order them when you are really craving heavy fried food. We ordered the rainbow salad to split. The first time it came out, it had chicken on it (the salad is not supposed to come with chicken). The second time the salad came out, it had no apples or pears (two primary ingredients in the salad). The third time it came out, it had no dressing. You really couldn't get a simple salad correct after 3 times? I also think it should be mandatory to send a manager out after having the same screwup 3 times in a row. And lastly, As someone who eats a plant based diet, it was tough finding options here. No veggie burgers, no pastas, etc. just what we need, another restaurant in the burbs focusing on sodium filled 2,000 calorie burgers, pot pies, and casseroles!

First time here. Very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the fish tacos. The menu is great, presentation very nice.My waitress, Kim was outstanding. Very attentive and engaging. The only negative in my book was the noise. Terrific addition to Apple Valley! I will definitely be back and will recommend it to others!

Tried Crooked one more time (second time) the other night! Want to like this place, however they need to figure things out. I had the beer cheese Lucy burger, great flavor, ok fries...but the bun was something you would pick up in the bread isle at Cub, $11 bucks for a burger with a crappy bun! Not impressed...will not be going back unless I'm strictly drinking beer, and even with that can think of numerous places I'd rather spend my money......

My husband and I went here with his parents for a drink and dinner. I had been there in the past and had a bad experience but wanted to give it another try. We got our beers right away but shortly after ordering our food, our waitress left and transferred our tab. NO ONE CAME BACK. The kitchen delivered our food (which was NOT worth $12) and then our plates and empty glasses stayed in front of us for 20+ minutes. We had to ask the bar for a bill even though we were seated in the dining room and received an extremely rude response after paying. The manager walked to our table and snottly said "tab!" Needless to say we won't be back. Based on the reviews, we aren't the only ones.

An intriguing menu makes me want to come back. Some hits and misses. It felt like the server should have been there a few minutes before she appeared each time. I got the reuben. Like George Lopez, says "it could have been really good, it almost was". The smart thing they do is put a piece of paper on top of the plate, and not end up with a soggy assed sandwich. It's cut in 3 pieces. It wasn't so tough I couldn't chew it, but I did rip it from my teeth every time. Basil got the Shepards pot pie, key word being pot, makes it looser. Most unusual, still tasty. I would avoid all salads here, just don't look all that appetizing, not sure if there are any homemade dressings. I had the chili for a side and it's a little spicy for my mild palate. As you enter there are 3 tables with the most comfortable chairs, not in the main room, just off of it. There is a special every day, Monday it was one type of hamburger, doesn't sound real special to me. I liked the carrier the silverware comes in and the s & p shakers. The HH food specials are average. Basil had a luna coffee stout, that he liked and tasted like coffee. It's an enjoyable ride, I'd recommend getting there early, it does fill up. It's not easy to see from the street, Pizza Ranch will be your landmark.

I think people need to realize a restaurant needs time to work out its kinks and the staff has to establish a rhythm. Since it's a new restaurant nearby, even with some poor reviews, I figured I'd have to at least give it a chance. And I liked it! So did my husband. We'll definitely be back. Polite staff, our server Brynn was there when we needed her but didn't hover. Great beer list, and Brynn helped my husband pick out a beer that he liked. She came back about the time we were ready to order. I got the beer cheese Lucy and upgraded to tator tots, which were awesome. I thought the coleslaw that came with it was out of this world! A little spicy but didn't take away from the creamy sweetness of it. My husband likes his coleslaw creamier, though. The burger was good but a bit more bland than I expected. My husband got the spicy Lucy (forgot the same) and he was very happy with it. Spicy enough for his heat loving tastebuds. The atmosphere and decorating was cool, too! Really, it is a common new type of restaurant and food, but considering the choices we have in and around Farmington, this place is great.

We tried this place for the first time tonight. Our server was very knowledgable and nice. The food was fine. The Crooked Pint had a MAJOR flaw, however...it was so loud (music plus echoing acoustics) that you couldn't even hear your own table mates talking. The music was waaaaaay too loud.

Party of 4 arriving on a Satuday night at 5:40pm, about a 10 min. wait. There is a nice bar area with some seating and more seating under a huge glass covered area. It was REALLY loud, we could hardly talk across the table. Lots of TV's & sporting events going on. Started with the pretzel, 2 pretzels with a beer cheese dip, crunchy on the outside, gooey cheese on the inside, very good. We had the pepperoni burger, messy but good flavor, the beer cheese burger which was good, but they say its on a pretzel bun which was really a regular white bun with a dark brown top, pretty disappointed in the bun. The reuben, was pretty good, generous portion. One of us got fries, fresh cut fries were ok but the rest of us got tator tots due to the servers recommendation and they were terrific. Very flavorful and dense, but you don't get many with your order, I think we got 6 or 7 tots with the burger. Service was good and a couple managers came around and asked how things were. Couple more things on the menu we would like to try, so we will be back.

We have been a few times always sitting at the bar and always have had great service from a variety of tenders!! Usually getting a different item each time....still a little partial to the Beer cheese lucy!! Yes it is loud when it is full of patrons but it is a small place. The staff can be a little young at times but give them a chance or 2 it's a great place to gather for a game or just a stop for a frosty beverage!

Our food here was actually quite good, which makes me feel a little bad about only giving two stars. Our table had several of the burgers that were all very well prepared, the fried pickles were AMAZING, the tater tot hot dish was excellent and the beers we sampled were delightful. The problem was that was that the food was the only redeeming part of the experience. Our server barely came by. They tried to deliver food belonging to other tables twice. There are no window treatments on their west facing window, so the sun blazes in the cool but impractical floor to ceiling windows and garage door-like ceiling. And the noise level is crazy loud - I would expect it to some extent at an ale house, but the ceiling seems to bounce the sound in such away that every noise is deafening. This place has potential. Hope they can figure out the service, sound and sun.

Went here for the first time tonight. It was great. My family and I were laughing while reading the reviews. We especially loved the guy who eats a 'plant-based' diet. I was able to teach my kids that vegetarian means "bad hunter". Good job Crooked Pint. Welcome to the neighborhood.

After staring at am "Opening Soon" sign for months it finally opened. My wait was estimated at 20 minutes and it was 35. The space is divided with the dining room only slightly larger than the bar area. You can sit in the bar area without waiting if anything is available. When you give your name at the hostess stand they ask for your cell number and send you a text when your table is ready. Our waitress, Chelsea B,. did a great job on refilling drinks. The food was okay. My husband ordered the Cowboy Lucy ($11) and said it was ok. Nothing special and a "I've had better." My brother's burger was an ordinary cheeseburger ($11) that they agreed to make medium rare - it was medium. And the mashed potatoes with gravy arrived without gravy even though they have it for the pot roast. We were told there is no gravy 5 minutes after receiving our food. I ordered the lobster grilled cheese ($13) and substituted tater tots ($2 extra). The tater tots were great but you only receive 5-6 large tots; probably not worth the extra money in lieu of fries. The lobster grilled cheese looked like it was made with langostinos. It tasted okay but was very bland. On the menu it said it was on sourdough bread but mine was on bread coated with asiago cheese. A nice touch but I had to salt the sandwich to have any real flavor. And the avocado on the sandwich was brown. Smack Shack does a real lobster sandwich for a few dollars more with quality lobster. The pot pie ordered by a man at an adjacent table seemed to be all crust. He was hunting for the filling. It looked beautiful though. Prices are high for the quality/quantity of food. We need more restaurants in this area that have great food. Not sure if we will be back.

2nd visit to the Crooked Pint & both have been fantastic. There was a bit of a wait the 2nd time but it's new & there was a Final Four game on. Love the beers on tap (solid selection that I don't normally see south of the cities), servers have been very friendly & prompt. Food is delicious! I'm going down the list of Juicy Lucy's and the two I've had have been near prefect. They have Stuffed Tator Tots as an appetizer! What's not to love. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program!

We have not had one great food item off the menu. We have been here a few times and tried various items. The juicy had no cheese in the middle since it was dry and over done. The pot pie is not great, Tator tots are probably the best thing we've had and those were burnt. Seems like food is overcooked. Menu has a lot of great items listed. Beer selection is decent for the most part. The place has a really cool vibe. I would much rather go to Valley Tap House in AV or Lone Oak in Eagan for better food!

One of the cooks doesn't wash his hands after using the rest room & if he drops food on the floor he still cooks/serves it. His 5 second rule! Would NOT eat there anymore. I know 4 employees at this restaurant & they've seen him at work in the kitchen!!

We really wanted to like this place and on our first visit we did! The wait staff is great. We had the fish and chips and pot roast dinner. The food was great, drinks were made well and they have a great selection of domestic and craft beer! The decor is different and fun and the clientele seemed fun and laid back! We were very encouraged that this would be our new neighborhood go to place! Visit number 2 was a different story. Wait staff still very impressive! We sat in the bar at a high top table on all of our visits. This time the food was not good. We had the lobster pot pie and steak sandwich, both highly recommended by our waitress. The steak was dry and actually very small. The pot pie was basically chowder (and not very good chowder) with a huge puff pastry crust. No bottom crust. The lobster was fishy and it just overall had an "off taste". We were so disappointed! Visit number 3 was just last night. This time our waitress was nice but a little off-putting. She seemed hurried and not super efficient. We ordered the lobster grilled cheese sandwich and the Sconnie Burger. This food was the worst we have had in a long time! The burger was way over done and just had a few greasy fried cheese curds on top. The grilled cheese had some pepper sauce on it that was just not right. I like spicey food but this just did not work. The lobster was super fishy. I ordered tator tots instead of fries and little did I know that they make their own tator tots in house. Totally not what I was expecting. I was shocked by the 6 huge tator tots. I love tator tots but these were not good. They were made with hash brown potatoes, pepper jack cheese, bacon, onions and Serrano peppers. The taste was just off! Not good at all. I was disappointed that I was not informed about this when I ordered the tator tots. Like I said, we so badly wanted to like this place, but we just can't. I see other disappointed reviews on here so maybe someone from the Crooked Pint will see this and work on some of these things.

The service was excellent and the beer list awesome. I ordered the lunch special" Summit Burger for $10 which comes with a pretzel bun and "summit sauce" The pretzel bun did not taste like a pretzel bun and I could not taste the sauce on the burger. Totally pedestrian food experience. The meat was not cooked to order. The side items were fair. Overall the food at this establishment is clearly the weak link. It might be a fun option for a couple pints but the food is not that great.

The food though good isn't the problem here it's the fact you have your cooks choosing when to seat people because they cannot keep up with food orders it's a 45 minute wait for two people and yet there are 7 open tables you need to get your business in check or Jon Taffer will pay ya a visit what a disgrace.

One trip was a 2-star one was a 4-star. The food is good, if the right food comes. Both visits we were brought at least one wrong item. The second visit was less than desirable, called ahead, was told no waiting. Showed up 5 minutes later, tons of waiting, 20 minutes. Finally got seated, no waitress, 20-minutes later we stopped someone to get some service. Took our drink orders and disappeared again. 20-minutes later, low on beer and water we flag her down for our order. She is not to be seen again until (40 minutes) I have to complain to the manager that one of our food items was brought out wrong, returned to the kitchen and the exact same wrong item was brought out again. We didn't eat it and the manager took it off and sent out the right item an hour after we got our food. The moral of the story is, this place is understaffed. The waitress we had, had no energy and obviously didn't want to be at work. We got there at 8 PM and left at 10:45 PM, no delays on our behalf. Won't be back until I hear the service is better. TL;DR: MANAGEMENT HIRE MORE SERVERS THAT WANT A JOB!

The food selection was good but I thought it was a bit over priced. Since I am gluten free if I added a bun for my burger it pushed the price up $2.00. This made it way over priced. Then they charged extra for extra condiments. Really they can't absorb an extra condiment with the prices they charge.

service, beer selection and atmosphere is great!!! .THIS PLACE NEEDS SERIOUS HELP WITH THE FOOD!..i ordered the NY strip sandwich it was as thin of a slice of beef jerky and cooked like one..it came a roll type bun the bun was good...only came with lettuce and tomato meat was very over cooked witch is pretty easy to do when the meat is so thin...my wife order a lucy burger came out burnt on the out side and dangerously under cooked on the inside ive never see a burger cooked like that...today my wife feels sick she only took one bit of it and sent it back.. i really enjoyed ,beer selection and atmosphere FOOD WAS A VERY BIG LET DOWN!! STAY AWAY FROM THE FOOD HERE!!!

We came here this afternoon for an early dinner. The service was friendly but quite slow and that would be my main reason for not rating it higher. The kids meals were also very overpriced... $6 for 2 chicken fingers and a small plate of fries and $6 for Kraft Mac n cheese!! That was a bummer. The food was good though. My husband and I weren't terribly hungry so we split the PB and bacon burger. It was good, though a little bland and slightly dry... But definitely no bad. We got the stuffed pickles (pickle, cream cheese and jalapeño dipped in batter and fried) and those were delicious! The tots were also very good, though we didn't know you were charged extra for them. Despite the high prices and lackluster service, I think it was overall pretty decent and we'd try it again.

Not much to tell...met a friend here for a couple drinks, ended up getting lunch as well. Good selection of "stuffed burgers" I won't call them the competitors name haha! If you're feeling adventurous, try the peanut butter bacon burger. Yep, peanut butter. I'd say give these guys a chance to settle in. They're new and definitely need to get their new staff up to speed. I'll try em one more time after awhile to see how things are going.

My husband and I dined on a Tuesday around 3:30. We were promptly greeted by a server to be seated. She was so friendly that we asked to be seated in her section. We sat in a booth on the dining room side. The retractable roof was open so it was a pretty neat experience as we had the feeling of sitting outside with the breeze and sunshine while in a comfy booth. This server knew her beers! This was impressive to us as we love craft beers and are always down to try new ones. My favorite was the New Belgium seasonal. We ordered the stuffed fried pickles for an appitizer. They were great since we were in the mood for a rich bar food kind of treat. The plum sauce they were served with complimented them very well. Our only critique was that we couldn't taste any jalapeños in the cream cheese stuffed pickles as advertised. They were still very yummy. I ordered a salad with ranch to come out before our entrees. For $2, it was pretty solid. We thought the ranch tasted like store bought Hidden Valley, but not a huge deal. I had the fish tacos and thought they were great. I really liked the couple of times I got a strong taste of cilantro. It is serve with chips with pico and roasted corn. I would have rather had some fresh salsa, but the main part, the tacos, were delicious. My husband had the beer cheese juicy Lucy and it looked very impressive upon arrival! He loved it and I tried his fries dipped in the extra side of bistro sauce we ordered and that was awesome. We boxe up half of both of our meals because I saw they had apple crisp on the menu. This is one of my favorite desserts and hard to find. It wasn't bad, but we wouldn't order it again. It is served in a beer glass (cute idea for maybe a different dessert), and every time we tried to spoon out a bite, melted ice cream would run down the outside of the glass and onto the table. The crisp part wasn't crispy at all, more like oatmeal in a glass with ice cream and lots of thin caramel sauce. It's not that it tasted bad, it was still yummy, but not as an "apple crisp". Not what we were expecting. For 3 beers, an appitizer, two entrees, a salad and dessert, we spent about $56 before tip. Not bad at all in our book, but my husband had plenty of leftovers. I wish we could have remembered our servers name because she checked in the perfect number of times, was friendly and knowledgeable. We appreciated her service and will be back because of it. As we left, there was a manager up front talking with a guest, he still made sure to thank us and wish is a nice evening. We appreciated that.

We were looking forward to having a local "pub" since my husband is English--but we found this place to be complete RUBISH!!!! It us not a brew pub. Is was too loud to converse. TOO LOUD!!!! The food took forever! The cheese sauce for the pretzel appetizer was not recognizable as a dairy product. This was for my birthday and ended up being the biggest disappointment ever! Terrible!! Overpriced! DREADFUL!!!! Did I mention it was Tooooooo LOUD!!!!!!!

Wow! Only go here if you have have 3 hours of your life to waste. Service was horrible. Our server William even charged is for food we never received and then when we pointed out the food was on our bill he told us to take it out of his tip cause it was to much work to have it removed. First it took our server 32 minutes to even greet our table and take drinks orders. When we had arrived I had noticed a happy hour app special and said to my family to bad we had not arrived later then we could try one. Little did I know it would be over an hour and 15 minutes before we even ordered food. So we could do happy hour then because of our slow service. When our flat bread app came out I asked for plates to eat it with. They never came so our app went cold and never got to try it cause whom wants to eat cold food when there meal arrived. Beside we still had no plates. My burger came out rare when I asked for medium well, so I had to wait additional 20 minutes to eat after my whole family had eaten. Even if the food was good to eat why go with service like that? And pay for food that never comes?? If I could give a negative review I would.

We went to Crooked Pint at 6 PM on a Saturday night. The place was packed, but getting a table was fairly quick. Don't let the parking lot fool you - there's more room inside than what the parking lot would suggest. We sat in the bar area, enjoyed some happy hour beers and a pretzel appetizer, both of which were good, including the speed of service. Our waitress came back when we were finishing up our appetizer and took our food order. My wife ordered some sort of salad while I ordered the reuben. My sandwich was plentiful with lots of meat, but it was mostly flavorless. The presentation was great, but the sandwich was just mediocre. As for my wife's salad - it looked great, but she said it was warm. She assumed it was just plated on a plate fresh out of a hot dishwasher, which results in a warm salad. She ate 1/2 of it, but couldn't eat any more warm lettuce, so threw the rest away. Here too - just mediocre. We'd try the place again, but likely for beers and burgers only, as it's hard to mess those up!

Burgers

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup.
